Downsloping
From The weather Vane Wiki
As the perpendicular winds flow down the opposite side of the mountain range they compress, dry out and warm. Downsloping winds can bring temperatures well above what is normal for a time of year. Downsloping winds also often bring an enhanced fire danger as the amount of moisture in the air is often reduced due to the subsidence. The chinook wind in the Midwest is the best example of a downsloping flow.
