Arid Zone

Arid Zones or deserts are extremely dry climate. There are to main areas with this type of climate zone. The Great Shara Desert and and the Great Australian Outback. These first two areas are extremely dry and extremely hot during the summer with temperatures commonly reaching over 120 degrees. On the flip side the great Gobi desert of Mongolia is a desert just as the Shara, but this is an extremely cold desert with temperatures getting below -5 F in the winter time. The American Desert SW is another Arid region. These areas tend to be very popular with allergy sufferers. This is why cities such as Phoenix Arizona have experienced such explosive growth. Also since it is sunny year long, these are appealing places to live. The problem is, of course as in any desert region, water.
