Default State of emergency issued

I just measured 21" of snow in my back yard. This is really heavy snow too so trees are bending and breaking and there are many power outages.

Default It missed us this time

Karan, I saw how hard Pittsburgh was hit with this last round of snow. I hope it hasn't caused any damage to your beautiful gardens. My sister Kathy lives at the Jersey shore, and she & her 2 grand daughters are so excited to see so much snow. It usually doesn't last long in the salt air down there.

I've been wondering how much you've been affected by this storm Karan! Thanks for the update....it makes me sad thinking of your beautiful yard being so challenged! .....Pam-++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++

Karan, I hope you're not sitting in the cold & dark! Our electricity was out for a couple hours earlier in the week after our snow storm. Although we were prepared, luckily power was restored right before total darkness. I hope your trees are hanging in there. I remember those beautiful blue spruce in your back yard! You've had a rough week. Check in with us soon.

Hope all is well, Karan. Up here in the Catskills we have not gotten enough snow the past 2 winters and I'm worried that I may lose a lot of my perennials due to the lack of snow insulation...again. It sure has been cold though, single digits overnight and about 9 degrees now at 6:30 pm. :-( Looks like more snow may be coming your way this week....good luck!

Well, I made it to work. I had my driveway plowed yesterday and they had a hard time. The snow is so high the blades could not make it thru. After much work, they got it cleared enough for me to get my car out the the garage. We are supposed to get hit with another 8" tomorrow. Now everyone knows how short my legs are soooo when I say the snow is up to my A$$ - I really mean it!!!

I've seen on the web that another storm is on it's way...unbelievable! Our forecast is uncertain, but we've got "lake effect" snow to the tune of about 3 inches since last night...Go is unable to plow for another few weeks and I sure hope we don't get a dump. I have short legs too! LOL! But my feet do reach the ground! :-) Good luck tomorrow!

Heard that some areas in the Mid Atlantic region could pick up another foot!

Just to be on the safe side, I'm going in to work today, which is my day off! That way, if it's bad tomorrow morning, I won't feel guilty if I don't go in. I'm terrified to drive in it.
