Season long Lilac!!

Wayside has a new lilac that puts out season long blooms! Can you imagine the scent of lilacs on a warm summer evening! It's a dwarf but it looks like it has beautiful lilac colored blooms. I put the link here but we'll have to see if it works.

It works. That's gorgeous. I will not break my vow to not buy anymore shrubs or large or expensive plants or seeds...again...See, I already broke it after Rhonda showed us that Yellow Peony awhile back.. Its supposed to be shipped in the fall. LOL. But Once I get that all settled in, I think maybe this lilac would be the perfect backdrop for it.... Claims to have color all the way into the fall, AND okay zones 4-9. Good find, Deb

Speaking of peonies, don't ever buy any from Wal-Mart. I bought 2, pricey little suckers. Were supposed to be blue. Turned out to be pink, not even a pretty shell pink, just plain pink like every peony lover has. I would be really miffed If I already had pink peonies but still, I could have got the exact same thing from Grandma without spending money.
