Montauk daisies/thanks Birdlover

So that's what those are. I didn't know what they were until I read the post and saw the picture of Birdlover's daisies.

I guess I bought them last year and didn't keep the tag. When they greened up this Spring, I didn't know what they were and waited, and waited and waited for them to bloom. What a surprise. Just when everything in my garden was starting to fade, these beautiful daisies bloomed.

Karan, if you didn't keep the tag, I'll offer some advice.
In mid December, cut them down to 8-10 inches. Then in mid May, cut them back again by half their height. No later or you'll lose the blooms.
They will grow nice & moounded instead of falling over.

Thanks Pat. I must have cut them all the way back last year. They were one of the first to pop up this Spring and I just let them go. Thanks for the advice. They are really tall and have a tendancy for the side blooms to topple. I love them.
