A Loss Of A Coworker

Recently this past Saturday while out for a drive on his motorcycle, one of my fellow school crossing guards was hit by a drunk driver and killed. I just came from his viewing tonight. He was taken very swiftly from what his family said. He never knew what hit him. His motorcycle was pushed into another vehicle that was in the lane next to him and that vehicle was pushed into another vehicle in the right turn lane. He had been making a left turn along with the vehicle he was pushed into.

The driver of the van that hit my coworker was an illegal alien , with no driver's license and no insurance. He and his passenger fled the scene but was picked up by police several streets away.

When will people ever learn that drinking and driving don't mix! What a needless tradagey for his family and friends.

Oh Dawn...so sorry to hear about this...your post reflects your sadness.

Such needless loss...no matter how a life is lost, it is a tragedy. To have this happen in this way...by persons who are thumbing their noses at our citizens...our laws...our country...is being repeated much too often.

my heart goes out to you and his family......this always brings back memories of when my sister was also killed by a drunk driver...although not an illegal alien...he is doing life now and no possibility for parole for at least 30 years.....

again my heart goes out to you and his family....another life snuffed out by someone making a STUPID decision to drive after drinks.....

Julia, I am so sorry.......my condolences to your friend's family, and to you too. It's a frightening thing, when you never know if your life will be taken by someone who is drunk behind the wheel. It's all too common these days.

illegals are a real problem. a recent check of the inmates in the county jail revealed that 17 of the 19 total inmates were illegal ********.
