Pat, when I lived in Alaska for 11 years, moose were everywhere...including walking down the sidewalks through town. Calves are very nosy and will get into just about anything and everything. I remember many mornings when I would get up and open the curtains and find that there were two moose standing outside the window looking in while pressing their huge noses against the glass. Moose prints are NOT easy to clean off the windows!
I had a bull moose that found my full sized Blazer to be an excellent butt scratching post and he backed up to it on a regular basis. It was histerical to watch but you never should forget that they are a wild animal and many have killed people with those hooves. Tourists would stop their cars along the side of the road and get out to take movies or pictures and wonder why the cow went after them. hmmmm..perhaps it was because they got too close to the calf???? I watched on VW Bug get hooved....it did NOT drive away!
