Could get around a dusting of snow here in Raleigh late tonight through early Fri. AM and possibly up to an inch in Roanoke Rapids, NC where I used to live.

We warmed up to the 50's today but now we will be going down to the 30's again this weekend.
I was up in Va. for the holidays and it was really cold there but there was no snow. I came home to the same temperatures here. This is supposed to be the SOUTH!

Kitzel, I bet you get an even warmer and cozier feeling knowing you're so close to your family. ((HUGS)) from the snowy city of Pittsburgh. It seems like it hasn't stopped snowing here in weeks. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Well, was a huge bust snow-wise for quite a few in NC (exception the mtns e.g.) ...as Raleigh didn't get even a dusting and no snow in Roa Rpds, either.

Wish the GOM had been wide open for business on this one.

We are having unseasonably cold weather here in the Tennessee hills, too. It has been going down into the teens every night this week except for one, and my heat pump cannot keep my place warm. Even though I've been keeping my thermostat set to 72 degrees at night, it is in the 50's in the house each morning when I get up. I am very thankful for my gas log fireplace! It is the only way to get warm in the morning.

Last night it was supposed to be below zero with the wind chill, and tonight is supposed to be the coldest night yet. I have to keep my faucets dripping every night to keep the pipes from freezing, while usually I may only have to do that once or twice each winter. Global warming sure acts in strange ways. /sarcasm.

LOL! Great image! I've been thinking about you Joan. Glad you can stay in -- I feel for those cabbages!

Beth & Janet, I hope your heater is fixed now. Janet, I'd steal that cute robe too! Lumara, sounds like your heat pump needs a check up. We had to replace a coil in ours in autumn -- I'm so glad now that we did it then.

Skywatch, no snow for us either this time around (fine with me after our ice storm a few weeks ago). However, it's absolutely blizzard like in the NC mountains. It was -5 there with the windchill added in at noon today.

Chili, watching football & playing cards are on the menu for tomorrow. Time to snuggle up!

They sucked so we fired a special teams coach and an offensive coach. That should help to clear up the problem. Should I bring some good Italian bread and butter?
