Thumbs up Help and encouragement!!!!

Ok, I've decided that I need to get back down to my "fighting weight". I've put myself on a diet. I think I know what to eat and how to eat, it's having the courage to stick with it. I'm also thinking of the way Beth and Richard are dieting and considering that route too.

Wine is definitely only a consideration on the weekend. LOL

Eating a lot of veggies and exercise is the way to lose any amount of weight. But seriously reduce the amount of alcohol since it has double the number of calories as carbohydrates 9 calories is in every oz of alcohol regardless if it is beer, wine or liquor.

Good luck with it Karan, you certainly have my support. You are such a good cook that I'm sure you can have fun experimenting with some new low-cal recipes. Try not to worry about sticking with the diet, just take it day by day. Write whenever you need some encouragement, we're here for you!

Oh Karan...I was worried when waiting for this to open...sounded scary!

Have to tell ya...after seeing my pics from the reunion...I'll join you on this wagon! (I already told our friend GAAG that I hope to look different next reunion......oh, oh...is that a COMMITTMENT coming from my lips....er, fingers!?!?)

The success both Beth and Richard have made makes me realize "all things are possible!" Maybe knowing YOU are working on loosing weight also...it'll make me more serious in my attempt! (does M&M's count as a veggie?).........p

Thanks everyone. I just finished my oatmeal. For lunch I'm having fruit, yogurt and shrimp. For dinners I've just been eating something light and a glass of skimmed milk. Actually it's not that bad.

Pam, I've never been an eater of sweets but those green M&M's sound pretty good.

I'll work on some good vegetarian recipes and let you know.

How did the crustada turn out?
