Default Fall is in the air

Here we are, beginning October already. I think summer goes by much too fast. Now there's lots to do outdoors, getting the gardens tucked in for the winter before it gets too cold. Leo's already setting out Halloween decorations.

Fall here too, finally. I don't like sweat dripping off my face.

But I hope it's a while before we start to see this:

Pat, it's definately fall here as well. Like you said, lots to do in the yards to get them ready for winter. According to the Wooly Worms, it's going to be a long and cold winter with little snow here. I can deal with the cold, but the not having snow would be wonderful to my old achy body!
With all the cold we are having currently, the fall colors should be spectacular this year...as long as the rain and wind doesn't come and wipe nature's pallet clear!

We're supposed to have a perfect weekend for gardening. I'll be out there pruning, cutting down and tucking in. It's perfect sleeping weather too!! I think I'll make a big pot of soup and stay busy all weekend.

It's cooled off here too. A cold front came in last night. Several of the trees in my yard are changing colors. The trees should put on a nice show this year.

Yep, time to rap up gardening & prep for winter!

Pburgh, I made soup a few days ago from fresh veggies from my garden & it turned out so good!

We have had some drier air come through today. The humidity has level has dropped making it much more comfortable to be outside.
