That is fascinating, herasday ..it sounds like Shai has found her calling and is succeeding very well. What a wonderful endeavor!

when i started school we were taught phonics and most people could read. then some educated idiots decided we needed a new system. now half our population cant read and we are seeing a return to phonics some schools.

I was taught to read using phonics, too, Dean. Stood me in good stead all these years.

No matter what Shai would do, it would be worth doing and she would do it well. She's just that kind of person. I miss her. Remember when we would Haiku?

Congrats to Shai! She is so talented in all she does. Teaching phonics is very worthwhile, and in my view, necessary.

Does Shai know how to find us here?
