deb, Falling Waters is about 1 1/2 hours southeast of Pittsburgh.
Welcome to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater

Pat, a little birdie told me that when we go to the aviary, the fun part will be watching your eyes light up!!!!!

Oh, Pburg....how long does it take you to get to Erie, PA?

Mapquest is pretty optimistic with the 6.5 hours. I know from personal experience it will take almost that long just to get to Erie. Might could do it all in six and a half if the trip was extremely well timed to go through Buffalo barrier between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m. LOL.

PAT. I was looking at the map and I figured out how you get to Pittsburg from your place. Start out like we went to Philadelphia. Make sure you don't find the "roundabout" thing, and continue on as we did, until you see the signs for Scranton, like we did. Then, instead of turning around and getting loster, like we did, keep going toward Scranton til you hit 81, take that south a bit, then head west on the next "big road".

The important thing is to make sure and not find the freaking "roundabout" anywhere along the line!!!

Dee, I can make it to Erie from my front door in less that 2 hours. It's about 120 miles. Actually I can make it to Buffalo in about 3 1/2 hours.

Beth, I can't wait either!!!

The nice thing is that that are all within 10 - 15 minutes of one another. The museum is 2 blocks from Phipps and the Aviary is about 10 minutes from that. All of these are 20 minutes to 1/2 hour from my house. The Duckie boat tour and the incline are also close. It's not like Philly where we had a long drive into town or to Longwood. We can do a lot in just 1 day!!!!
