Default Wednesday May 23rd

SPC upgraded parts of NE and central Kansas to a MDT risk for tomorrow, and here is the latest from the Topeka NWS office:
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND
WEDNESDAY NIGHT ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA. THUNDERSTORM INITIATION IS
EXPECTED TO OCCUR ALONG A SLOW MOVING FRONT IN SOUTH CENTRAL
KANSAS AND THEN MOVE NORTHEAST INTO NORTH CENTRAL...NORTHEAST AND
EAST CENTRAL KANSAS. EARLY ON THE STORMS COULD BE CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING A FEW TORNADOES IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL DURING THE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. AS THE EVENING PROGRESSES...STORMS
ARE EXPECTED TO EVOLVE INTO CLUSTERS. DAMAGING STRAIGHT LINE WINDS
AND FLASH FLOODING WILL BECOME MUCH MORE OF A CONCERN AS THE
NIGHT PROGRESSES. RAINFALL TOTALS COULD BE EXCESS OF 4 INCHES. AT
THIS TIME IT IS STILL UNCERTAIN WHERE THE FRONT WILL END UP AND
WHERE THE MOST LIKELY AREA FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE.

I'll keep watching this, but tomorrow may be a good day to go out, considering it's not too terribly far from home anyway.*

Ah, looking at the models it looks like the main CAPE will stay to the South and to the east of NE.

Central KS looks to have the greatest threat level, right over the greensburg area. :(

I'd go chasing, to central KS...
