March 24, 2007 REPORTS KS/NE/CO | | Decided to chase in NC KS or SC NE today. Went and picked up chase partner for the day, Darin Brunin, at his home in Lawerence, KS. Arrived in the preliminary target of Mankato, KS at around 3 PM... after looking over the data, we decided to move further west, and contined to drive west until we came to Norton, KS. at that point, a TOR watch had been issued, and storms were firing to our west, near the KS/NE/CO border region. We decided at that point, that the storms were just too far away, and not into the best enviroment, which was further east, and decided to head home. This was my longest distance chase to-date. Left home at 7:30 AM and did not get home until 4:00 AM Sunday Morning....exhausting.
Total miles this chase: 924.0 :idiot2:
