Kenny, Alex and I should be out tomorrow for this conditional setup. Nice WF will drift north to Southern MN tomorrow and we will be playing that near the SFC low. SC and TOR threat will be there but conditional due to cloud cover from ongoing MCS and warm mid level temps. We'll see how it plays out but still relatively a backyard chase for us so big deal.

Good old, slight risk. Josh, I assume the main threat for these storms will be hail and wind but will you be chasing for the isolated tornado?

The tornadic threat seems to be in MN along and ahead of the warm front. I think there may be a few tornadoes tommorow. Haveto wait and see.

Actually because of the mid level temps there will be less of a hail threat. There is a decent TOR threat but it is conditional due to ongoing convection. Still a lot parameters in place for tornadic supercells if it works out, especiall across SW MN. Right now Im probably looking at New Ulm maybe a little further NW.

Other the other hand the Skew Ts for New Ulm look like crap where further south looks better, maybe Im off on the warm front there. Oh well, just gonna depend on what I see tomorrow morning for a target area.

Nothing exciting ever really surfaced today, we were on initiation but decided to move east closer to the WF and away from Cherokee. That Cherokee area continued to backbuild and was TOR warned at one point but didnt look like much.

well, those warm mid level temps really didnt help anything. Its not too often you see echo tops at 55,000 ft. and hail size estimated at only .5-.75"

How did the chase go Josh? Did you get to see any storms, and if so do you have pictures for us?

Pretty much the same as everyone else in the area, we were on the Cherokee storm at initiation but I could tell that the 3 cells were gonna congeal so I moved more to the east along the boundary as CU constantly tried to initiate but never did. All in all nothing really exciting and I will be possibly back out there tomorrow and Tues. I will try to post more about that tomorrow when I have time.
