| | | I'm not sure if it's possible in VB. (avatar wise, at least I haven't figured it out). HTML for sigs, is a setting. I'll ask susie to change it.

| | hi guys
the html should now work. if you can let me know though if you have any problems there.
regarding the animated avatars, ive set the size max to 150x150 pixels. that should be sufficient. if you have issues relating to file size uploads, if you can let me know the size in kb's of the files you're trying to upload, that'd be great.
its not set up to allow overly big file sieze, due to the fact it'll slow down the performance of the forum if theres overly big avatar files to open when the pages open, so for the purpose of keeping the foprum running as quickly and smoothly as possible, theres been a cap put in for the size of the files.
hope this helps

| | New posts function needs some work. It will show new posts until you open and respond to one...then wipes the slate clean of all of them, even the ones you haven't looked at, yet. That's not good.
The last board, it was bad the opposite way. it NEVER wiped the slate clean unless you logged off.
The best was the "view new posts" function we had two boards ago. That one, you hit the button, all the new posts came up. As you opened and read them, they would be wiped off, but would be added back if someone posted another new post to the thread while you were browsing. You could whip through the board in no time with that one, view all the new posts, respond if you wanted, and make sure you didn't miss anything. I think if you look at old records (if available) you will find that time period to have been one of the most active. It was only a short period though, the functions on that board (two boards ago, now, I think) were tweaked by kman and piersdad so that they were perfection.
Anyway, the way it is now is not good.

| | I liked that new posts feature on the SMF board (2 boards ago), too. I've found a way on this board that I like better, though, and you may as well. Instead of using the "new posts" link, I have the "daily posts" link bookmarked, which shows all posts from the last day. Unless you're away for a long period of time, that's the most useful, I think. The Weather Vane Forums - Search Results

But the one people are most likely to use is the "new posts" on the tool bar and that one still stinks big time imho, since you lose all the new posts if you respond to just one of them. If they can tweak it so it works differently it would be an asset.

| | Hmm...how did that text get entered into my link? I just posted the link by itself. That's an interesting board function.
