The U of M will be embarking on its third annual chase field trip.* We leave the morning of Sunday, July 15, returning to Winnipeg on Thursday, July 19.

If you want to follow along, check out the storm chase course page at:
http://www.umanitoba.ca/faculties/environm...chaseindex.html

We have a blog that I will be updating, and its URL is:
http://wxcentral.blogspot.com/

Our GPS will (hopefully) update the spotter network site with our location:
http://www.spotternetwork.org/google.php

And we will post pictures of our exploits here:

Check us out and wish us luck!

Sweet, are you going too Dave? So is this for just students, or can anyone go along? Also are you guys going to be traveling into the US?

Yes, I'll certainly be going.* I'm one of the instructors of the course.

Anyone can go along (still paying course fees), but preference is given to students taking it for credit.

We'll go to the US if storms are there.* Tomorrow (Sunday) looks pretty good at the SK/MB/ND border, so we could end up south of 49...
