careful Vance! those right splits don't always move ESE. They move to the right of the mean shear vector. I've seen some move southwest (Jarrell ring a bell?)

Well at least that was a good start again for quite sometime...

Speaking of windows & tornados, once a tornado sucked a skylight window right off my roof! Brought up some shingles & flashing too. However, the tornado did not actually strike the roof. The hefty 3 foot square window did not have broken glass, but it was pretty beat up. The window tumbled down to my deck below, crashed through a glass top patio table that did break into a million pieces & then crashed through my deck railing before landing on the lawn. The heavy cast aluminum patio furniture was blown form one side of the long deck all the way to the other & piled up in a corner. Also, it rained & hailed inside my master bathroom since the skylight was missing. You should have seen the dents in the drywall! What a mess! Except for the damage from the window, hail did most of the damage to our home & landscape. Luckily, it was a brick house, but anything like gutters, trim, shingles, etc. took a beating. Even luckier, we were out of town when the twister hit or I might have had a heart attack just hearing all that crashing & banging! Kinda ruined our vacation though.

I should add that our home backed up to a lake & the winds coming off the lake could be pretty intense at times. Add a tornado & there you go.

ohhh no no noh from what i'm thinking guess it's a whole mess... you're lucky not being inside that house when the tornado visited you...lol if I were there I'll be turned into crazy up and down looking all the things goes tumbling around...It's the most devastating thing that could happened to someone's house..to be hit by a whirling tornado...
