Default Storm Chasing in the News

A couple of stories in Kansas newspapers this week about storm chasers and their supposed negative behavior on the roadways.* It has caused a pretty good reaction among chasers, I've went as far to have a post on my blog specific about it and even have a story currently on a local TV stations' webpage.

LOL, of all people to bring up a topic that was already discussed at ST....J/K

Yeah, anyway I dont really have much to add to this.* Pretty simple folks, dont park in the middle of the road and move your car safely off the road when parked.* Luckily, we dont have the convergence up here that takes place in KS, OK, TX.

"Luckily, we dont have the convergence up here that takes place in KS, OK, TX."

Its because we there have not been promising chase days, trust me if there is a good chase day up here it will be nearly as bad, It really is getting pretty ridiculous, I really see nothing good coming out of that many chasers being out there.* Maybe gas prices will continue to climb and it will turn some of them away.

Dont get me wrong, I realize that and thats kind of what I was hinting at.* I'll rephrase "Luckily(sort of) we dont have the outbreaks or setups that OK,KS and TX have been having or generally have".* Anyway, I would still rather chase those setups even with the convergence if I could, this year is just not my year.* Next year will be even worse considering Im getting married in June.*

Anyway, back to topic...Im not going to know what to do when there is some convergence up here, I havent seen it in so long.* Nicollet had a little bit but was pretty spread out, I guess the last real convergence I saw was last April outside of Chillicothe, MO and even that wasnt that bad.* It has been amazing this year just watching GR with the spotternetwork placefile and Dustin is probably right it will continue to get worse and worse.

Well maybe so but there are also a lot of chasers who have saved lifes as well... so they should be in the news as well. Kinda hard to drive like a mom in a minivan (outside of Atlanta at rushhour) when you need to catch a storm moving 70 mph.
