Default Spotter Network

www.spotternetwork.org*
I used this program for the first time this year.* I must say it is a nice program to have.* It displays your current (refreshes every 2 minutes) position to everyone that has the placefile loaded onto their radar viewer program.* It is very handy when you are talking to your nowcaster and the nowcaster can just look at the radar and see where you are at.* You can also submit reports through the spotter network program and it gives the NWS your exact coordinates and contact information.* * I must say, after the first time using this program, I was pretty impressed!* It is also pretty neat to see where other chasers are in relation to your current position.* I will definately be using this program for the remainder of the '07 severe wx season.*

As a nowcaster this is a really helpful tool.* I used it in last week's severe weather events.* It works really well with the GRLevelX radar program.
