Ironically, I was just making plans today for a chase vacation the 1st week of May. I wont have much time to chase next year with my wedding and honeymoon in the summer so I will be out in the central and southern plains as much as possible next year.

On top of that this year has ticked me off enough that I have had about had it with this side of the MO river. This year I didnt have the chance to head out to KS at all and I really missed out because of it.

We've had absolutely nothing in the way of severe weather this year up in MN.

Hopefully next spring will be better, and I'll finally have my license and car.

If it can be avoided I would avoid taking a chase Vacation. I had one planned with some other friends and chase veterans, however I eventually began to question what I was doing, for me I am going to chase a setup if it looks good anyways and if it entails spending 4 days on the road I am going to do it chase vacation or not, thats when I realized that all I was accomplishing taking a chase vacation was forcing myself to chase and spend money on unfavorable days that I would normally sit out, now I just plan on many unscheduled "chase vacations"

I agree with you for sure Dustin but the only problem is unless I plan it at least 2 or 3 days in advance I have sometimes have too much work to do. The plan next year is to take off on days like, I think it was 3/31, the outbreak we had in W KS and SW NE(I know you were on it) as that one I could have planned a couple of days in advance. There are a few others but you get the idea. Anyway, Im going to jump on at least 2 of those and then planning a tentative vacation for the 1st week of May which I can move if I need to. After that I will be too busy to chase very many good setups from a distance.

Keep in mind Im sometimes more limited on time due to the fact that I have to come from practically MN.

well, next year is going to be hard on me too for chasing, graduation, my sister's wedding on June 21, and then working a lot to get some money for college. But, i am going to try to get out as much as i can, especially after this year, only 1 chase this year and that was WAY back on March 25 and it was a pretty crappy chase anyway. I'm really hoping i will get out more next year.

I hope so too for you Dean, I'd really like to go chasing but last season taught me it was really not all that feasible as you just can't chase in the hills.

Sigh. I'll go on a real chase someday...

You should become a spotter and get into ham radio operation bro.

I am a local storm chaser, I rarely leave the area to chase but I would like to go west and chase some of the OK and TX tornadoes! But I don't know anyone out yander :(
