| | Grlevelx thread | | i know we've had a lot of threads about Gr and discussing its ups and downs, but i figure we should have one for just support and placefiles/shapefiles. Aaron has a great site for a lot of different add ons for the program, but you can also find many more at the GR forum.
Aaron's site: http://www.grlevelxstuff.com/index.php
GR forum: http://www.grlevelx.com/owners/index.php
If you need any help or have any questions here is the place to ask.

| yes it can. it automatically comes with interstates and state roads, but you can (and i have) added shapefiles for Gr which gives you all the roads in every county, however, you have to add the files county by county, which is a real pain in the *ss to do.
this is how mine looks now:

| | Re: Grlevelx thread | | As Dean said it does go to street level which is a great feature, I have never even bothered to add all the roads as it would take forever.* I haven't been over to the site in a while, anything new Dean that I don't already have?

| | Re: Grlevelx thread | | i got a couple things from Aarons site. as you can tell i upgraded to a TOPO map which is pretty cool, it already has the lakes/rivers on it so you dont have to mess around with all those different placefiles, and i have a placefile for all the NWS offices in the entire* country with a mouse over phone number (thats the blue squares on the pic above). otherwise no, not really. if you want those i can get them for ya, otherwise cant really remember everything you have on yours.

| | Re: Grlevelx thread | | Well the NWS offices sounds like a good idea, now I dont have to keep them in my phone, send me that placefile and I will add it.

| | Re: Grlevelx thread | | i got it from Aaron's site so you have to create an account, then download it, unzip the two files in it and then add it. it sounds like a lot of work but it should only take about 5-7 minutes.

| | | Re: Grlevelx thread | | Just FYI I have teamed up with Tyler Allison and he is sending me all of his maps to host on my site. For those that want street level 2 things
1. I will be adding a new area just for them on the site.
2. We will also be adding a flash tutorial on how to create your own. |
