I will be for sure. After all.... there's a lot better chance that a winter storm will hit me than a tropical one.

Well. This day last year all of Northern Buffalo was out of power because of two feet of snow. Winter Storms generally aren't as interesting unless its a nor'easter, in which case I wont be affected directly because I am in Western New York. So don't expect much from me.

EDIT: Yes, I know its ironic because of my name. :P

I'll be around, if there's any Marine system to talk about, but I deal mostly with areas S of 30N in the winter. I do a really good job on Marine weather, but I have to turn on The Weather Channel to figure out what's going to happen on land !

My tools are really good at wind over water, seas, squalls & rain, sea surface currents, etc. Takes a whole different set of tools & analysis over land...and people actually want to know the temperature ! In the Marine environment, especially in the Tropics, the temperature is always within a few degrees of the water temps (which I know) .

So...I don't think I'll be much use predicting a blizzard (unless it's a Dairy Queen "Blizzard") !...Chris.
