That the world will be 2 degrees above average in 10 years or so? I've been curious about this for a while.

In Ten Years? NO. Current rate of warming would have to increase by nearly one order of magnitude to get that much warming.

Absolutely not. Based on the most recent trends, and my gut feeling, we'll probably be a little cooler in 10 years than we are right now. But either way, a 2 degree increase globally over a 10-year period is an EXTREME change...and it won't happen.

If they keep some of their temp. gauges where they are now (near parking lots , near buildings, on top of buildings, then yea, its a possibility.

Might even see a 1/4 degree drop. I'm expecting a cooler trend. Don't know when it'll kick in and be recognized, but I think we will cool off in the long run. MHO.
