One quick thing on this eclipse. It will be much better the farther West one is.
We in the East will not get much of it. Unfortunately the eclipse will allready have begun at moonrise for us.

On the USA side the states that will get the full eclipse are; Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California and part of
Nevada.

Unfortunately, it will be daylight on the east coast by the time it starts, I think.... :(

But the full moon is beautiful, tonight...clear skies and perfectly beautiful.....it would be wonderful viewing if it wasn't so close to daylight when it starts. But i am enjoying the Harvest Moon anyway. Thanks to the great weather and clear skies.

Beautiful, Tyler...you took that one? If you are that good, I sure hope you DO stay awake for the eclipse.. and take more! Then I won't feel so bad that it will be daylight here when it happens, I'll be able to see it anyway!

Actually, the Harvest Moon is in September. Totality in progress. Shot some video of the onset of totality and will shoot some more soon. It was cloudy as eclipse start so I abandoned taking out the telescope but will have some video at least and maybe stills if they came out.
