Default Sand Storm in Nebraska

Even in the house you could taste the dust in the air. My house is filthy now.

We have some damned impressive and fast moving storms, but that was the first time I saw that much sand picked up. I guess the winds were 50-80mph and a tornado a few miles west.
The storm knocked out my antennas, including the satilite radio, so we got no warnings. I just saw some storm clouds move in fast and decided "meh, I'll park the car around the other side"

Great video, Sirk. I don't envy you one bit with that dust storm. Or that landlord!!! LOL.

Thanks for the "special features" too. The wind in the pipes, Kitty on the window ledge...He/She appeared to say "Enough of this baloney...I'm outa here" finally.

And the sound was excellent. What a "howling wind" you had.

I have to tell you...my new dog isn't as good a weather forecaster as my old Bridghid dog was, but she (Tauni) does NOT like storms at all and tries to hide like my old dog when one blows up. (Bridghid would start hiding long before the approaching storm was apparent).

Anyway, while I was playing your video, my doggie Tauni got VERY upset and strarted looking for places to hide. it must have been the wind howling and the sound of the hail which was very clear and sounded like we were "right there".

Thumbs up for that one, Sirk.

If you listen close, you can even hear me scream at the kids. LOL

My girls were watching out their window but when the hail really started to come down I told them to come into the dinning room. My 8 year old was like "yeah, just a minute." No just a minute! You come RIGHT NOW!
