Default NorthWest Weather 2008 Discussions

I am finally coming out of hibernation from the Long Winter season I experienced here in Southeast Idaho. The pleasent sight of Convection is occuring once again here and soon before we know it will be having severe storms. This Week looks to hold some potential for Thunderstorms and maybe even a Severe Thursday (5-22-08) if the Front arrives at my location after peak heating of the day.

I am already charging up the camera batteries and getting prepared for Tuesday thru Friday which have the potential for thunderstorms and even a Nocturnal storm which would mean great lightning photo ops.

I still know the fact that by Next weekend I could be back in the Frost range, But for once High Temps in the Mid 80s and the sight of beautiful convection has me literally amped for more and more.

Snowfall For my Area was noted at basically 100%, some flooding concerns for some area's but thus far all seems okay. Biggest snow accumulation for myself was around 2+ feet which took weeks to melt. It was nice while it lasted but I am really glad thats all done. lol.

Well Hopefully the rest of Northwesterners could keep this post busy enough to get the Thread marked as Sticky. I checked for the last NW thread and its 2 pages away. Time for a new one. =)

Looking forward to hearing about what everyone else is thinking about the Upcoming UpperLow.

East of the Cascades should be more active that west of the Cascades...it usually is in the summer anyways. But we haven't had a good thunder and lighting storm here in a while...a few years.
