Member of The Year Poll #1

I do not like this idea because the poll is NOT accurate due of the following:

1) Why isn't Dave Carlsen, Nega, Jim Rinaldi, Martinsville Weather and SD not on here?
2) Given the totals after Heardsay voted, why isn't wxtch and not on that list?


After all of the tally from the nomination process, the top 8 should be as follows:
1) SD - 5
2) NEga- 4
3) Carlsen- 4
4) Jimrin- 3
5) WxTech- 2
6) Big Neerav- 2
7) Martinsville Weather- 2
8) Kevin Martin -2

This reeks of favoritism, since all of them look to be your "friends", not the people who deserve to be on that list of people in this poll, and therefore, I refuse to be a part of this poll!

I refuse to particpiate because the top 8 people should advance. I really don't care about this who contest either because I am more focused on discussing the weather, which is why I joined this forum. I waqs excited at first, but now, I realized that was a mistake.

Well first of all I want to say if you didn't like the set-up then why did u say this: Sounds good. I know Eastern also does something similar to this for thier annual "Weenie of the Year" (WOY), which I found absolutely hilarious. Yeah, sounds good. Hopefully my name will make it to the next round, of not, I am working on endorsing others as I speak. ABOUT THIS:


We are actually going to have it in several groups! I try to get everyone in the chance of winning therefore, I don't leave anybody out. But anyway, probably about 6 rounds.

Here is the format we will be using:

Well I hope u took a good look at it because if u did u would notice that you get to be in the third round because u have 2 nominations. Therefore, I do not see how in the h*ll it is me putting my friends over the top of all the others, because if it was then u would be over all the people that have one nomination and be in a higher category in my friend book, "wouldn't u fill special", Also I don't see any reason to believe that it is inaccurate as there is several brackets which starts making in more accurate before inaccurate. But anyway if you don't won't to participate then I guess that is fine, but the fact that u come on here and start bitc*ing about something that u don't even know what u are talking about is what really gets me!

The initial idea was good, but the people with the MOST VOTES, not the least, should advance! Looking at the original tally in the last thread, the people being voted on are those that are not in the top 8 (like Jim Rinaldi, SD and Nega), at least, a majority of them, and it is not fair! In addition, I am also suspicious of this poll because you rigged it such that YOUR name will be on the list of people to vote for!That is why I am criticizing this. I do not care if I am on the list of people to vote for right now, all I care is that it is fair to everyone!

It is not rigged, i was nominated once so i am in the first round, i didn't vote for myself because we can't vote for yourself, besides wat does it matter i am getting blown away. Like I said maybe u should read the format, but i guess u are to stubborn too, also it is fair to everyone and it might be to fair, because if u have visted the member of the month thread the people with only one nomination do not get to participate. In this contest I am allowing everyone to get to participate even with the lowest nominations.

Stubborn? Really? I DID pay attention, but this contest for for those lowest on the list, and NOT for those who got the highest votes, which this contest should be, or else hold two different contests for each group (two groups of 8). The people bolded are the people being voted on right now.

Neerav...I think how its working is this first round is for the bottom 8 only. Subsequent rounds will include SD, Martinsville, myself and the rest. Much like the NFL playoffs, the higher seeds get a first round bye.

Point of order...Its Donald Sutherland (like the actor), not Sutherlin.

Ehhh...this is America. Since when is the voting system fair? A half a million more of us wanted Al Gore as President in 2000. Look at how that turned out

But I do think its a fair system they set up.

And we sure were fortunate that worked out the way it did! Could you imagine global-warming-hypocrite-Gore as president...lol.

Anyway, back on topic. Neerav: I still don't really care for this whole thing, but it does seem fair. I think you're seriously misunderstanding something, and you're getting all upset over it.
