If it can be avoided I would avoid taking a chase Vacation. I had one planned with some other friends and chase veterans, however I eventually began to question what I was doing, for me I am going to chase a setup if it looks good anyways and if it entails spending 4 days on the road I am going to do it chase vacation or not, thats when I realized that all I was accomplishing taking a chase vacation was forcing myself to chase and spend money on unfavorable days that I would normally sit out, now I just plan on many unscheduled "chase vacations"[/b]

I agree with you for sure Dustin but the only problem is unless I plan it at least 2 or 3 days in advance I have sometimes have too much work to do. The plan next year is to take off on days like, I think it was 3/31, the outbreak we had in W KS and SW NE(I know you were on it) as that one I could have planned a couple of days in advance. There are a few others but you get the idea. Anyway, Im going to jump on at least 2 of those and then planning a tentative vacation for the 1st week of May which I can move if I need to. After that I will be too busy to chase very many good setups from a distance.
Keep in mind Im sometimes more limited on time due to the fact that I have to come from practically MN.
